The Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters of the Korea Federation of SMEs held the 2026 Gyeonggi SME Business Leaders Conference under the theme, “SMEs Will Lead Korea’s Great Economic Leap Forward.”

The conference, held on June 23 at the Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator, was organized to recognize exemplary SME entrepreneurs, 

employees, contributors to SME development, and supporting organizations that have contributed to national economic growth and job creation, 

while also boosting morale within the SME sector.

Approximately 160 participants attended the event, including Kim Won-sik, Chairman of the Gyeonggi SMEs Association under the Korea Federation of SMEs,

 Cho Hee-soo, Commissioner of the Gyeonggi Regional Office of SMEs and Startups, as well as local SME executives and employees.

A total of 146 individuals received awards, including:

• 5 recipients of the Industrial Service Medal
• 10 recipients of the Presidential Commendation
• 9 recipients of the Prime Minister’s Commendation
• 65 recipients of commendations from government ministers and the Administrator of the Public Procurement Service
• 57 recipients of the Chairman’s Commendation from the Korea Federation of SMEs

HMC Co., Ltd. was honored with the Minister's Award of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in recognition of its contributions to SME development and national industrial growth.
